A handy place to stay when visiting Luodong. I booked by phone and paid 700 Taiwanese dollars. The rooms were clean, with good beds and a nice bathroom, and the night market is close by. There’s no reception, but you can phone the staff. The downside was the noise at night. Some Mandarin-speaking guests were yelling at 3 a.m., then spent hours brushing their hair noisily.

The location is a real bargain for the distance, with Luodong Night Market only a five-minute walk away. I’d stay here again, though I’d probably bring my own towels. The towels we got had some stains, and the quilt smelled a bit. Aside from that, everything was perfect. We booked through booking.com, and the hotelier sent a very detailed, thoughtful description of the service. My boyfriend is local, and they upgraded us to a triple room for free, which was amazing. Payment for the room has to be made on-site, either in cash or by bank transfer. It’s a homestay-style place. Although providing these items is legally prohibited, they actually supplied disposable shower gel and shampoo, plus toothbrushes and toothpaste. Such a thoughtful touch! ❤️❤️ We had to look after ourselves when checking in and out.

If all you need is an inexpensive place to sleep, this one is worth considering. The check-in process is well organized: a female staff member checks your passport and reservation, gives you the entry code and room key, then shows you to the room and explains things. No problems with the system. I’d save the entrance location using Google Street View before arriving.
