The room was damp all over, even the sheets, and smelled strongly of smoke 👎. The toilet and bathroom floor were filthy, the sheets were stained, and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. The bathroom water temperature kept shifting, and the air conditioner leaked onto my suitcase, soaking all my clothes 😑. Wi-Fi only worked by the doorway 😩.

The dust made it impossible for us to stay. When we lifted the blankets on the other bed after the owner had tidied up, dust was visibly floating in the air. We started having strong allergic reactions soon after and asked to leave. The owner offered to move us, but we didn't want to remain there and asked for a refund. We had paid an 800 yuan deposit and were meant to pay another 800 yuan at check-in. The owner returned the remaining 800 yuan for that day and said he would cancel the Agoda booking. The room was already in poor shape when we arrived: hair on the floor, dirt and small bits of trash on the bathroom floor, urine marks on the toilet, stained sheets, and webs on the walls. Dust came up in quantity when we lifted the blankets, and we both had allergies and became very itchy. The owner said the urine marks might have come from guests in the next room a few days earlier. I couldn't understand why unsold rooms weren't kept locked, or why the room hadn't been checked before we were given it. He said it had been empty for about a week, which made me wonder even more why nobody had checked it again before check-in. We told the owner about the urine and sheet stains, and he came right away to clean. It was still unbearable, though. We could see other empty rooms and asked to switch, but at first he only said he'd clean ours as soon as possible. We felt bad arriving after 8 PM when the owner had asked around 7:30 PM what time to expect us, since we hadn't known our arrival time. He seemed to live at the guesthouse.

I've stayed here before. I give it three stars because it's incredibly cheap, and you can get a clean room and bed. The bathroom walls were moldy, and the towels and toothpaste provided were very basic, but again, it costs very little. If you want something expensive, you get high-end. Complaining about that here seems like a personality problem, doesn't it?

I really wouldn't recommend this place. The whole building reeked of smoke, including the rooms and stairs, and the owner smoked right in the living room. That was really troubling for someone who doesn't smoke. The air conditioner kept leaking even when it was switched off. I told the owner, and he just said he knew and that it was fine. There were lots of ants in the room, and the sheets had bloodstains.
