Diewuxinqun Homestay

We stayed in a fourth-floor family room, with a playroom separate from the bedroom. The kids had so much fun with the toys that even when we went to the night market, they kept telling us to hurry back. The room was very clean, and it was a great place to stay. Because of the pandemic, the landlady didn’t provide breakfast. We’d asked beforehand and knew the guesthouse didn’t supply disposable toiletries, so we brought our toothbrush and toothpaste.

The owner was so friendly and put together a very generous breakfast. My husband joked, “There’s a kind of hunger that only the owner knows you’re hungry!” The kids played nonstop, which gave us a chance to relax. One thing that could be safer: the gaps in the railing by the waiting area above the slide are too wide for children under two. I’d suggest adding ropes there. Aside from that, everything was perfect! 👍👍👍👍👍

The housekeeper was thoughtful at breakfast. When my husband and older child weren’t back yet, she asked if I wanted some food to take with me. She also moved the high chair for me while my younger child and I ate, and put it somewhere convenient so I didn’t have to walk far. At checkout, she said guests could leave their slippers behind and she’d wash them. I’d never come across a guesthouse that washed slippers before. Maybe I just haven’t travelled enough, but it was a novel touch. The room was clean and tidy, and the kids loved the slide, kitchen set, Lego bricks, and track set. They didn’t want to go home. There’s a sterilizer on the first floor for baby bottles, and picture books to borrow. Booking through Line was very convenient. I could ask questions anytime, and they also pointed out things I’d missed while booking. Breakfast was provided.

We stayed at the Ladybug and Giraffe B&B with our two one-year-olds. They had so much fun playing that they didn’t even want to sleep. The room was packed with toys and had a bike to ride, even one big enough for babies, which was thoughtful. The supermarket was close by bike, and the whole B&B was really clean. It’s the first B&B where I’ve felt comfortable walking around barefoot. They had a sterilizer, hot water, and a refrigerator, and the breakfast was delicious. Since we visited on a weekday, we were the only guests in the room and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was really comfortable, and I’ll come back next time I’m in Yilan. 😅
