Hotel Sandao

I booked on Agoda a few hours before check-in on Nov. 17, 2025, mainly because parking was advertised. Finding the entrance was difficult: it was through a very narrow passage, then up to the 11th floor. The front desk staff were polite, but couldn’t communicate in English, which made things hard. My first room had no window. I paid another 200 NTD to switch rooms, but communication and service were still limited. The advertised free parking was off-site, inconvenient, and not clearly explained. There was no breakfast available, even to buy. I wouldn’t recommend it for drivers or people who don’t speak Chinese. The hotel should clearly explain that parking is off-site and inconvenient. Try to find the entrance by looking for the hotel name in my picture.

The staff were friendly and the service was great, and the location is hard to beat: the night market is just steps away, handy for food and shopping. But a bad smell kept coming from the sink area in my room the whole stay. I had to leave the sink plug in and cover the shower and toilet drains to manage it. Fixing the plumbing would make the stay much more comfortable.

The night market is literally downstairs, and you’re right in the heart of the Luodong district, so it’s convenient for tourists and close to everything. The hotel is newly built, with air conditioning, a cold fridge, and a great view. Most of the building is residential, while hotel rentals are on floors 10, 11, and 12. We had two queen beds, but the room felt a bit tight. The shower and toilet are separate. Soundproofing is terrible, and you can hear everything. It’s alright and pretty basic and small, but handy if being close to the night market and other conveniences is what you want.

I stayed for two nights. The building looks a bit worn from outside, but the Muji-style look in reception won me over once I went in. The room was very comfortable, with high-quality equipment and Simmons bedding.
