It's a nice place to wander around and take in the atmosphere. This busy night market in Luodong(Luodong), Yilan(Yilan) starts filling up around 6 PM with locals and tourists, then gets packed after 8 PM. Most street vendors sell food, while the shops along the street include clothing stores, video game arcades, and places selling umbrellas and small bags.
I think it's a bit overrated. As a foreigner who's not used to night market culture, I didn't enjoy it as much. It also seemed to have less variety than other local night markets I've visited.
There's lots of food to choose from here. If you're coming by car, you can park at the Nitori building. There's a strawberry seller right outside, and the berries are large, sweet, and good quality!
It's a big place with plenty to offer, though it can get very crowded. The desserts are what I'd come for. There aren't any seats, and there are only a few places to throw out rubbish. I'm giving it three stars because of the safety issue with motorcycles. They race through and can literally run you over. I'd recommend a visit, but watch behind you for fast riders.
This is one of my favorite night markets. It's only a few rows around a park, where you can stop and eat, but there's lots of delicious food and the people are really friendly. The angelica mutton soup is delicious!
