The staff were very friendly and gave my father detailed directions to a watch shop. They were easygoing, too. The outside looks old, but the bathtub is superb. It's very close to the night market, Luodong station, and lots of shops, and bikes are available to rent. Probably best suited to budget travelers.

The newer room I booked was comfortable and quite nice, and the bathroom even had heating. The hotel is close to the night market, with a clinic right next door, and they lend out umbrellas. The staff weren’t as friendly as people we met at other hotels and minsu, but they were helpful: they arranged the laundry we badly needed and brought it back to our room. Breakfast was just so-so.

We chose a family room for five, and it had plenty of space. The usual issue with older hotels in Taiwan came up, though: no bidet spray. If you know, you know.

The front desk made this a bad stay. A woman there greeted us rudely and had quite an attitude. The rooms were mediocre, even though the hotel is centrally located and near the night market.

Breakfast had a good range of choices, and the bathtub was a pleasant surprise. The room itself wasn’t in the newest condition. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the front end of the TRA station.
