The best things here were the breakfast and the sunrise view. Everything else was rough. Our first room was a mess, with what looked like a bloody handprint on the curtains. My mother had to be moved out of her room right away because the sheets weren’t clean and the shower curtain was moldy. Water was leaking from both the shower and tub. The rooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned or dusted in months. The location is awful, out in the middle of nowhere with nothing nearby to do or eat. For half the price, we could’ve stayed in town near restaurants and things to do. I wish I could give zero stars. I’d avoid this place like the plague.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good, and being close to the hot air balloon festival is handy. But a lot of the services and buildings were out of order, and the place feels run down. It must have been glorious two decades ago. The wall tapestry was peeling off, too.

202207 The authentic Taiwanese breakfast buffet is well worth it. Staying here also brought back high school field trips for me, with lots of kids sharing rooms, having late-night snacks, and not wanting to go to sleep.
