The host made sure we got back something we left behind after checkout, and even mailed it to us without charging. That kind of service really stood out. We were there for a family reunion, with three generations traveling from different countries to see the hot air balloons in Taitung. DF life lodge was new, spotless, and nicely decorated, with a tasty, healthy breakfast. It’s close to Luye Highland, which made watching the balloons easy. We’d happily stay there again if we’re in the area.

The rooms were clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious too. The host was so friendly and knew the area well, with lots of suggestions for places to visit. One of the best homestay stays I’ve had, and I’d definitely recommend it for getting a feel for local culture in Taidong.

The owner was very kind, and the lodge had a great feel to it. Our room was huge, the facilities were good, and we slept comfortably. A lovely place to stay if you get the chance to visit Luye.

We found the location handy for Kano Highland, and it also worked well as a base for day trips to Guanshan and Chishang. There’s a washing machine, which was especially useful for getting clothes dry quickly in the summer on a longer trip. The place was tidy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, polite, and patient when helping with questions. They even left complimentary instant noodles as snacks, which was a nice extra. I’d definitely return.
