Discovery Hotel

The standout for us was how helpful the staff were, from reception to the parking attendant. One evening the bar was opened just for us, which we really appreciated. The hotel is spotless and well kept, with large rooms and a very central spot directly connected to a shopping mall. Parking is free. The rooms have generous layouts, though the mattress and pillows are quite firm. At night, the balcony light can't be switched off, and the curtains let some light through. We had plenty of hot water in the morning, but sometimes not enough in the evening. Breakfast has a huge range of choices, but it's very crowded and noisy. Staff began urging guests to hurry about 30 minutes before the 10:00 closing time, which felt uncomfortable. It’s a comfortable, clean hotel with a great location and lovely staff. The busy breakfast, firm bed and brightness at night, and evening hot water supply were the reasons I took points off.

The lounge seems criminally quiet, perhaps because of where it’s located, but the bartender makes delicious drinks that added a lot to the tropical resort feel. I’d tell guests to seek it out and try the specials. My room, 1123, had a great view, a spacious bathroom, and comfortable living space. The lobby smells pleasantly perfumed, and the hotel is right by Port. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member looked after my family and me so kindly and tirelessly. A wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it.

We had a lovely stay during the 2025 fireworks, and could watch them from the 11th floor. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had huge bathtubs that filled quickly. The toilet seats were heated modern ones with plenty of gadgets. The minibar was a treat, restocked with popcorn and locally special beers.

Even though the typhoon made the weather bad during our trip from Taipei to Penghu, the hotel had indoor activities like wall climbing, a gym, sauna, swimming pool, and massage. I'm a tourist from the Philippines, and this stay was a ten-star experience for me. The staff were kind, polite, friendly, and easy to approach. The food went beyond ordinary, with healthy, delicious dishes and menus from different countries. I loved it. The room was very clean, the atmosphere was relaxing and stress free, and the souvenir slippers were useful. They also gave each tourist a 500 coupon and a scratch ticket with a prize, another bit of luck! We had a great visit and want to come back in summer 🫶🫶🫶😘😘😘.
