There were ants in the room, and when we asked to move, the request was refused. We’d booked a “seaview room” and were disappointed to find a building directly in front of the balcony. We told the staff and boss, but got silly excuses and no service recovery at all. Be careful when booking here.

Everything was clean and okay, and the people working there were kind. Shanshui beach is right in front, so it’s a nice option if you want to avoid crowds and relax or surf. Getting downtown by scooter takes about 15 minutes, which is inconvenient, though there are good places to eat and drink nearby.

The staff were friendly, and the beach is just across the street. They had two cars and a scooter for rent at very reasonable prices. I’d happily stay here again.
