Spiritual B&B

The room had a hairdryer and small fridge, plus shower gel, conditioner, towels and bath towels. There weren't any toothbrushes, combs or razors. Water was available on the first and second floors. The staff and cleaning lady were really friendly. Rates might be a little higher during the fireworks festival, but booking through a travel agency is cheaper. It was quite good overall.

We stayed May 26th to 28th, and I can't think of any downsides right now. The room was spacious and very clean, with great soundproofing and a balcony facing the sea. Having an elevator made luggage easy. Breakfast featured local rice balls and sesame cakes. They arranged scooter reservations for me, with pickup and return right at the B&B, which was super convenient. It was close to Guanyin Pavilion for watching fireworks and near many attractions in Magong. The service was excellent throughout. After returning to the mainland, I realized I'd lost a necklace that was a precious keepsake from my dog's passing. I contacted the B&B right away, and they immediately searched, found it, and sent it back. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in Penghu.

The air conditioner is near the entrance, where people usually leave their shoes, and mine was dripping water. When I reported it to the front desk, they seemed completely unsurprised. I pointed out the marks on the wall below it, and they said the high occupancy lately caused the unit to frost up and drip, so it was normal. I was baffled. If they already knew, why hadn't guests been told in advance? A normal air conditioner shouldn't drip water!!!

The guesthouse staff were quite friendly, and the room was clean and tidy, if a little small. There is an airport shuttle, but the person who picked us up that day looked a bit unhappy and made us load our own luggage. I'm not sure if being on a high floor was the reason, but the shower pressure was low and the water flow weak.
