Sun Day B&B

A four-person room during the fireworks festival for just 1500 NTD a night, and the room was good too. Boss, that’s wild! Shame the rating system stops at five stars. I hope you keep this quality and price, and maybe in a few years it’ll be Penghu’s number one B&B.

All the staff at Rihsun B&B were so kind. The day before we were due to leave Taiwan, my child was hit by a car while riding a bike. The staff came straight to the scene and stayed with him. They just said, “It’s good that you’re safe. The motorcycle isn’t badly damaged, it’s okay. Thank you!”

There are convenience stores and self-service laundries nearby, which is handy. The bathroom water doesn’t drain very well, and though the air conditioner cools the room, it’s a bit noisy. I hope the business can sort those things out.

We spent five nights there, and the beds were so comfortable that the kids missed the guesthouse when we got back to Taipei. I’ve been to Penghu many times, from before I had children to now, and I’d happily return again. Life there felt carefree. 😂😂 The staff were thoughtful and never pushy. On our first day they saw us juggling a child and lots of luggage, and moved us straight to a ground-floor room so we wouldn’t have to haul everything upstairs. When we arrived that evening, they helped book our ferry tickets and took care of other little things too. Since we had no car for the return, they even picked up the brown sugar cake we bought from the shop instead of having it sent to the airport. That really touched me.
