Being able to stay at Qin Hai Motel, one of Nantou's qualified quarantine hotels, was exciting for us since it's only 10 minutes from home. The staff were friendly, responded quickly to our requests, and were easy to reach through the chat box in the Line app. The bright colors and romantic lighting give it a classic love hotel look. The space was huge, with a Jacuzzi and mini sauna that helped us relax during our 14-day quarantine. A few things made it less suitable for quarantine: there was no window, just a garage door opening directly to the outside, there weren't many plugs, and the lighting was dark when we needed to work at night. Even so, it was a good experience overall.

For 2000 RMB on a weekday, the four-person room felt like a bargain. It was quite large and newly renovated, and the bathroom had plenty of space and a double bathtub. 👍👍👍 The bed was comfortable too, with a very firm mattress. I'd really recommend staying here on a trip.

Everything seemed fine and the room was comfortable, but as soon as we walked in there was a strong insecticide smell. I later noticed a plug-in device under the TV. Unplugging it didn't help much, and the blankets seemed to have picked up the odor too. We stayed the night without thinking too much about it, but in hindsight I wish we hadn't let our child breathe that in. 🙄
