Good.

The room decor gets three stars, and the price adds one. But the staff and the way things were handled bring my overall score down by six stars. The night staff said two extra towels had been put in the room. They also explained that under the new government rules, toothbrushes aren't provided automatically, but can be brought up later if guests ask. During the day, though, staff acted like they couldn't be bothered. Surely a clear answer to a question helps everyone? It was only two sentences, yet the woman with a ponytail and glasses got impatient and made me feel as if I were about to rob the front desk. I suggest she keep a low profile and leave service work. With the AC off, even moving one centimeter made the bed feel cold right away. It was 16 degrees today, so I'm not deducting for my subjective impression of that. Getting around was inconvenient, with no MRT or bus service nearby. Breakfast was Chinese style and pretty good, and I might consider coming on either a weekday or weekend. The bathroom floor got a little slippery when wet, so they should have a non-slip mat. The bed was too soft, and odd noises at night made it hard to sleep.

There was a strong smoky odor as soon as I walked in, and it seemed to grow worse while I was trying to sleep. I found it really unpleasant. The bathtub was big, but took ages to fill, and bits of debris kept floating in the water. The bed was so far from the TV that watching it hurt. I could hear the next door closing, and at night strange sounds seemed to come from every direction. The air conditioning was very cold, but I felt like the smoke was coming from it.
