Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao

The hotel’s handy for getting around: Banqiao HSR, TR, and the Bannan Line MRT are within a five-minute walk, and there’s also a bus interchange. Global Mall, FE21, and Mega City are nearby. Even from New Taipei, the TR and Bannan Line get you to Taipei in 20 minutes. The room was spacious and quiet, with a huge bed, a long sofa, and a well-stocked bar counter with Nespresso. The bathroom was impressive, with two separate sinks and distinct areas for the bathtub, shower, and toilet. On the top floor, both the swimming pool and well-maintained gym have great city views, with enough machines for cardio and weights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Alan helped me use the self-check-in kiosk and explained where the facilities were and when they opened. There were many international travelers. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny.

The room was really nice, apart from a towel stained with a brown substance, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Alan made check-in very smooth and gave impeccable service, but the rest of the staff didn’t meet the same standard. Reception seemed rather nonchalant. When our child felt unwell, they refused our request for a one-hour late checkout and asked for an additional charge. We were eventually grateful to get 30 minutes. It’s a nice high-end hotel with a room that has a real wow factor, but sadly that’s where it ends. It has the feel of a big premium hotel where guests are expected to feel honoured just to be there, without expecting quality service. That’s a pity, and it doesn’t do the hotel justice. Hopefully the service improves.

The rooms are modern and spacious, and being right on the MRT line makes getting around easy. An underground B1 tunnel goes directly to Banqiao Station and Mega City mall, which is great for avoiding the heat. Perfect location for a family trip.

The staff said the missing items were part of an effort to support environmental sustainability. I appreciate those efforts, but I don’t see how leaving out shower gel, body lotion, and conditioner helps when guests still need to shower and wash their hair, especially after a long, tiring day. On my first night at the 4-star Caesar Hotel, there was no shower gel. I only noticed after I was already in the shower and found the bottle empty. There was no body lotion, bathrobe, or toothbrush either. Shampoo was the only thing available, with no hair conditioner. This was the first hotel on my holiday trip that didn’t provide shower gel, which was especially disappointing for a 4-star place.
