Four Points by Sheraton Linkou

Service was excellent, and breakfast had plenty of dishes. There’s also a good Chinese restaurant on the second floor. The hotel is right next to the metro from Taipei airport, which is convenient. The rooms are nice, though you can hear the freeway if yours faces that side. Most rooms don’t.

The decor is great, though the toilet is really cramped and the rooms are a bit small. It’s right outside Linkou MRT, and getting here from the airport on the commuter line takes about 20 minutes.

The room was dark, and there was a sewer smell in the toilet. Still, the layout and furniture were thoughtfully arranged and useful, and the service was good and adequate. The hotel’s best feature is how close it is to the MRT.

The gym was busy on some days, with only one bench press, available first come, first served, though there were more cardio machines. The pool was clean, and there was a massage chair and a kids’ play area. There are plenty of dining choices, and the hotel seems to host lots of company meetings and weddings. The hotel is convenient, with places easy to reach on foot, and the facilities and amenities are well cared for. I used the gym many times. Room cleaning and service were great, and extending our stay was quick and easy. I did find dust and a beer can behind the toilet, so I’m not sure cleaners check those hidden spots in every room. Luckily there were no insects or anything, which can be a concern with cleanliness in Taiwan. It also gets quite loud during the day because it’s near the main street. We enjoyed the stay and service overall.
