Getting there by public transport means walking up the hill to the accommodation. The hot breakfast was really tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hot spring was a real treat, with amazing mountain views, and we stayed in a traditional Japanese room for one night. The woman who checked us in was very nice. There’s a family mart right down the road, and the old street with delicious street food is a ten-minute walk away via two staircases downhill. Such a quiet escape from busy Taipei.

We had a tatami room and slept really well. It was comfortable, a good price, and the view was beautiful. The balcony was a good size and had a hot spring. The falls were only five minutes away by car, and we swam in the river after visiting. Everything was very clean, so please keep it that way if you go! 🤙

The room was spacious, and the onsen water was hot. The place is a little dated and away from the main street, but that also means less noise and chaos. A FamilyMart is within walking distance, along with some pricey restaurants. A taxi ride up costs NT$200, which is their standard fare, so be ready for that.

The private hot spring on the balcony came with beautiful views, but the room was old and dirty. The shower was broken and barely worked. I'd look elsewhere.
