The only downside was the trip into downtown, since the hotel is near the end of the green line. I still preferred that over giving up a room this nice. It was huge, bigger than some apartments, with a four-person hot tub and a TV mounted above it. The shower pressure was great too. Honestly, it's the nicest hotel room I've stayed in. It felt like a palace.

The location isn't really walkable, so expect to use Uber. Also, this is a love hotel that rents rooms by the hour. If you're staying overnight for more than one day, you have to leave each morning or buy a membership. We only learned what kind of hotel it was at check-in, when they asked whether we wanted an hourly rate. Agoda had presented it as a regular hotel when we booked. There were adult movies on the TV, plus a vending machine with “marital aid,” lubricant, and prophylactics in the room. That might not be a good fit if you're travelling with children.

I regret booking this terrible motel for several nights through Agoda before my trip. Check-in doesn't start until 6 p.m., nobody answered the phone when I needed help, and the booking couldn't be refunded. Be careful and stay away.

??? Please check the phone number listed with the Taiwan tourism office and on Google. When I called, a woman yelled and swore at me for having the wrong number. It sounds like I wasn't the first person to call by mistake.
