Regale Villa Hotel

They gave me a small bed when I arrived with my 13- and 11-year-old kids. After a few uncomfortable minutes, I called to ask for another bed. They brought a small blanket for me to sleep on the floor and added 500 to the charge. I didn’t like that, so I called again and asked for a room with two big beds. They wanted another 500! They wouldn’t switch the room, and I didn’t like anything about the place.

Everything else was fine, but the massage bathtub was oxidized.

It was okay.

The bathroom light kept causing trouble. If I turned it on, it wouldn’t switch off, and once off it wouldn’t come back on unless I went to the garage and reset the main switch. I went up and down the stairs eight times that night, so there was no chance of sleeping well. Anyone who struggles to sleep would have been up all night. The room was worn out, and there were instant noodle crumbs from the previous guest on the bed. Upstairs guests were very loud, dragging chairs around, especially around 9 PM, and the soundproofing was awful. We’d come from Kaohsiung to visit relatives in northern Taiwan, and the whole stay left my family and me frustrated. We left our bags at the hotel, went to dinner and for a walk, then returned around 2 AM to find the garage door to my relative’s room wouldn’t open. Staff said they’d move me, but my relative’s change of clothes was inside. They didn’t get the door open until after 3 AM. The first time I’ve ever stayed somewhere this terrible.
