Kevin’s kindness is what I’ll remember most. He helped my Korean family with simple English so we could enjoy breakfast, and introduced us to guests at other tables. Thanks to him, our first day in Taiwan started happily. Breakfast was excellent, and the accommodation also runs a café. Even if you don’t stay overnight, I highly recommend stopping for a happy visit. I found this place while looking for somewhere near Jiufen for a family trip. It was much better in person than it looked online: clean, cozy, well maintained, and equipped with what we needed. The view of the Yin-Yang Sea and mountains was stunning, and I was amazed such a beautiful village existed. My child loved the adorable cats. Staying here gave us an experience we wouldn’t have had in a busier place like Taipei.

The staff are the reason I’d return. I’ve never been treated with such warmth. Lucy(Wen Yi) kindly got us to our room in heavy rain, and Yumei gave us suggestions for nearby sights and checked that we were happy with breakfast. At check-in, staff also asked if we were vegetarian and took care of that. Breakfast was great. Getting around the property can be a pain, with stairs up and down and rooms spread across 3 or 4 buildings on the hillside. The view from our room and the terrace was fabulous, though. The room is a bit dated, but they keep it clean and replenish water bottles and snacks daily.

The view of the Yingyang sea was perfect, and the place was so peaceful. We found it less touristy than staying in Jiufen, while still being so close to it. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and breakfast was filling with lots of variety. The service was amazing too; staff recommended places to visit nearby. Amazing views and a perfect place to stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
