Something Easy Inn

The rain made us pretty disappointed with the weather on this Jiufen trip, but the hotel helped make up for it. The staff had suggested taking an Uber to Jiufen Elementary School to avoid walking uphill through the crowds on Jiufen street. Someone met us there and walked us down a few steps to our rooms, explaining everything in detail. They were so helpful and thoughtful. Our room was on the third floor, with plenty of snacks and drinks for self-service on the fourth and a rooftop with stunning views on the fifth. The hotel seems to sit quite high in Jiufen. Everything felt perfect: the bed, pillows, water pressure, air conditioning, service, and the vibe of the wooden floor. Our room had two air purifiers and dehumidifiers. I also tried a face mask the hotel owner made, and it was very good. We'll definitely come back.

It's a cozy place with spacious rooms, tucked at the end of Juifen old street where it's quieter. Staff were kind and attentive, and there's a large rooftop terrace on top of the main building with breathtaking valley views. They offer discounted meals at the restaurant. Breakfast isn't served, but drinks and food are provided in the room for you to have yourself. The street is for pedestrians, so you need to park by the nearby temple and carry your luggage up some stairs. Pack light!

The views from the rooms were amazing, and the free snacks and drinks were an incredible selection. The owner or staff member who checked us in gave us a tour and was friendly and helpful. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, 100% recommend.

The inn was very central for exploring Juifen, and the room had lovely views and was peaceful. We stayed two nights and got a lovely welcome and tour of the property. One small annoyance was that one bedside didn't have a reading light. I wouldn't recommend the nearby restaurant where the inn gives guests a discount, even though the inn staff recommended it. The restaurant staff were extremely rude: they never explained how to order, snatched money from my hands when I paid, and the food was disappointing. That recommendation is why I'm taking off one star for service.
