Volando Urai Spring Spa and Resort

The meals were delicious and made with local ingredients. The hotel’s look brought Taiwanese, Japanese, and modern styles together beautifully, and the furnishings, linens, and amenities were great. The hot springs were thoughtfully designed, and the staff were polite and meticulous. It was an incredible, luxurious stay.

I brought 12 people for a relaxing hot spring visit: 5 standard rooms and 1 deluxe room, with afternoon tea. Everyone on my travel team gave good feedback about the springs. There was no smell, and our skin felt silky smooth afterward. There’s a small changing area and a small shower area, then the pool, where you control the hot and cold water. The deluxe room has a toilet, a queen-size bed, a shower area, and 2 pools, one hot and one cold. The afternoon tea selection was great too.

I’d definitely pick the large public bath over the private baths. I planned this stop for my trip, and it turned out to be a gift of pure relaxation. The no-photo policy might be why it isn’t super popular, but it’s totally worth visiting.

The meals were a real highlight, with fresh local ingredients and lovely presentation. The chef also made gluten-free food for my friend, and every dish was thoughtful and flavorful. Our room was spotless and stylish, with breathtaking river and mountain views. Soaking in either the private hot spring bath or the public outdoor bath was peaceful and rejuvenating. We were welcomed by beautiful natural scenery, an artistic atmosphere, and warm hospitality. The manager and staff were thoughtful and attentive, explaining the afternoon tea and zen time and confirming our spa and dinner reservations. Afternoon tea came with a cultural drum and vocal performance, then we had a deeply relaxing spa session in a spacious, soothing private room. Every detail, from the design to the calming aromas, added to the peaceful feel. We left refreshed and inspired. After we shared photos, our other girlfriends were already asking to join us next time. Each Volando Resort has its own theme, so now we can’t decide whether to return to Volando Urai or try another one. It was a luxurious, calming escape in nature, and a great spot for a girlfriends’ reunion.
