The manager was courteous, professional, and kind, and she let us keep our bicycles safely in the lobby. There’s a water dispenser on every floor, and the bed had just the right firmness. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, even though the outside gives a different impression. It was quiet too, and the location worked well for nearby food options.

The beds are comfortable and the floors are nice, and the shower is good with shampoo and body wash supplied. Breakfast was included and adequate. There’s just one outlet by the bed, so I had to unplug the lamp to use it. The toilet has no bidet, and guests aren’t supposed to flush toilet paper.

It looks old from the outside, but inside it’s been updated and felt clean and comfortable. The shower in the bathroom didn’t have enough water. If something comes up, ask the service staff and they can help right away.

The reception staff were very rude when I asked to move back to the room I’d originally stayed in. Our group had booked four single rooms, but we were given four double rooms instead. The first night went fine and the arrangements were proper. On the second night, though, the rooms seemed like they were from the 1980s. Worst reception experience.

Puli Bus Station is a 10-minute walk away if you want to catch a bus to Sun Moon Lake, which is about a 20-minute drive. The room rates are great for visiting the area. It’s an established, inexpensive hotel in town, with a nice breakfast and friendly service.
