The place is all about beer, but the lineup needs a creative brewer making proper beers. They have good water as a natural resource. Sadly, aside from the draft lager, there was little or nothing on tap or in bottles that came close to quality craft beer. I went a couple of times and got more disappointed each visit. The bottled America Pale Ale was the worst, and disgusting is probably the right word for it. What should come first for a microbrewery, a beer hotel and a beer brand? Proper beer! Sorry, but I'd give it no more than 3/10.

For a reasonable price, you get a decent little hotel in the middle of nowhere, and the room rate even includes free-flowing craft beer from the attached microbrewery. The beer is the real deal, judging by how I felt the next day. Go while they're still offering it, because that can't be a permanent business plan! 😄

I was surprised by how good the beer was. I think this craft microbrewery in Puli has only been around for about a year, but when I visited they didn't have any IPA. There's parking at the back, plus a covered outdoor bar for parties and events. The indoor bar was comfortable enough. You can get a growler filled, with a 300 NT deposit that's returned when you bring it back.

The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were nice. Their lager is amazing. The beer's among the best I've had in Asia, highly recommended.

I've had some truly bad beer, and this was among the worst. The Assam black tea beer was especially disgusting.
