Puli Ease Hotel

Breakfast had a generous mix of local specialties, including water bamboo, regional mushrooms and native ferns, alongside eggs, congee, cereal, toast, croissants and coffee. Even with two large tour groups staying at the same time, the dining room stayed manageable and food was topped up quickly. Guests rushing to leave by 8 a.m. still seemed happy with their meals. The hotel is especially handy if you're driving an EV, since there are charging stations. Puli is flat and easy to walk around, with plenty of nearby dinner spots. There's a great fermented tofu restaurant a block south and a FamilyMart close by. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and I loved the Toto toilet. While you're checking in or waiting in the lobby, staff offer samples of herbal tea with honey and berries near the concierge counter.

We came for an overnight stay with our daughter, who was almost eight months old. The room had plenty of space and was thoughtfully equipped for her, with a cot, bath, bottle sanitiser and baby soap. It also has two single sofa chairs that work really well for breastfeeding. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room includes a deep bath and a relaxing shower area. The soap and shampoo weren't overpoweringly scented. Breakfast had a wide selection and fresh ingredients, with good options for vegetarians, though I'd have liked more Western-style choices.

The service was fantastic and attentive to details, and the room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing worked really well. There's a drinking water tap and sparkling water machine in the room, plus a bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. You can watch TV while bathing. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with lots of vegetables and local ingredients such as water bamboo shoots. Free parking onsite was handy, and the hotel has basketball shooting machines, a Switch and board games available at no charge. KTV and a pool room can be rented too. This hotel is a gem. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return if we visit central Taiwan (Nantou). Absolutely sensational. 👏

We enjoyed staying at the hotel, though it was very expensive because our visit fell during Lunar New Year.
