Deep Breathing B&B

Breakfast was quite good, and the detached house had a villa-like feel. The guesthouse was clean, honestly very well cleaned. Its location was handy too, about a 3-5 minute walk from Shoufeng Railway Station, with courtyard parking for guests who drive.

There was enough parking, and it was handy having PX Mart nearby for shopping. Liyu Lake and Mataian and other attractions were not far away. The shared areas seemed reasonably well maintained, and even though the bathrooms had no ventilation, they were almost free of mold. The recycling guests are asked to do was handled properly, and the room price... As for the stay itself, it felt like a pretty ordinary homestay. The downstairs air conditioning in our building was really weak, and the rooms had dated decor. I was stunned to find a pair of underwear hanging behind the bathroom door.

I ended up staying at a guesthouse next to a friend's home. The service was friendly, though the bathroom in my room wasn't clean enough and needs work. Shoufeng Railway Station is fairly close. I also liked the taro shaved ice near the station, and the general store next door is well worth checking out.

The owner was really welcoming, and both the room and the surroundings were clean and quiet. Getting around was easy, with a 7-11 and a PX Mart close enough to walk to. The station is walkable too, with noodles and ice cream nearby. Our breakfast order tasted great. The ice cream pictured is from Chunchong Ice Cream Shop near the station, and it was delicious.
