The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. I stayed in the room with a bathtub. The owners were so welcoming, and I loved the relaxing atmosphere and surroundings at He Liu. I hope I get the chance to stay again.

I’m from Hualien but work out of town, and whenever I come back now and then, I still like staying here. It’s comfortable and relaxing. The room is clean and comfortable, and I love how every little detail feels just right.

Four large windows make the room bright, and the sliding curtains block the light well when shut. Open them and the sunlight is beautiful. The garden around the room is huge, pretty, and great for photos. Inside, the simple wooden decor gives the spacious room a tranquil feel. The double bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is small but clean and functional. There’s no TV or wardrobe, but there is a small fridge, a kettle, and a simple drying area. It’s far from Hualien City, though Fenglin City is about a 10-minute drive away. A good option if you want quiet and a rest. My one small gripe was the included breakfast, which came from a typical breakfast shop. The friendly owner gives a brief introduction, suggests nearby attractions, and offers light aircraft tours. The bed was very comfortable, and the housekeeper, possibly the young female owner, was very friendly. The building has a Zen-like feel, and I’d definitely visit again. Since it’s in a field, small ants or other insects sometimes get into the room. I personally don’t mind, but people who are more bothered by them should know.
