The Central American decor suits the countryside setting, and the shared area and gardens feel distinctive and peaceful. As a Westerner, I was pleasantly surprised to get fresh hot coffee in an elegant china cup and saucer. Restaurants and recreation around Liyu Lake are within walking distance. Everyone was so warm and helpful, from the staff and owners to a friend who was visiting them. They went out of their way to handle both little requests and bigger needs, and we felt like part of the owners' family.

With water flowing through and around the place, this little spot stays surprisingly cool without air conditioning. It's quiet, and the air has a lovely coffee aroma.
