The family running this quiet hotel clearly puts a lot of care into making guests comfortable. It’s a lovely place to enjoy the Pacific and Taiwanese hospitality. There are seafood restaurants within walking distance, though Google Translate came in handy when ordering.

We stayed here as a family of four in 2015 and still think about the breakfast: purple sweet potato porridge with a refillable three-tier tray of dishes. The place is right by the Pacific, and the nice open field gave our young kids room to run around.

There’s a big outdoor area facing the ocean, with a great view. The room was clean and comfortable, though the owner seemed to take a minimalist approach to amenities. If you have a few days and want to spend them by the sea, it’s a relaxing place to stay.

The owner seemed a little unfriendly at first, but he was actually super sweet. He found us a tour guide who later gave us a big discount, pointed us toward good nearby restaurants, waited until 11:30 AM for us to have breakfast, and even drove us into town for free. The place was really comfortable, and the balcony had an amazing ocean view. Highly recommend it!
