Hotel Tilun Dongpu Spa

The naked hot spring was a real highlight: quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by mountains. We were given two tickets as a nice gesture, though the water got up to around 44°C and felt a little too hot at times. Dinner and breakfast were included too. Dinner was a good set menu for the price, and breakfast was a buffet. Both were distinctly Taiwanese, worth trying if you want local food. We stayed one night on the way to Alishan. The staff made the visit memorable, from the warm welcome at reception to the helpful tour of the facilities before check-in. Everyone we met was friendly. The hotel itself is dated and a bit dark inside. Our room had two beds, plenty of space, a large bathroom, and a tub, but the decor felt old. Even with the dated facilities, we had a wonderful stay.

The hills looked great from the spacious room, but noise came through badly and the AC was far too loud. There were cockroaches in the toilet, too. Dinner was bland, and nothing tasted fresh.

We loved relaxing in the outdoor hot spring with the mountain scenery around us. The best part, though, was our room, with its beautiful layout and huge round tub facing the mountains. It made for a memorable place to unwind. Mike, the hotel manager, was especially kind and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying the trip. The rest of the team also made us feel welcome. The restaurants served delicious, high quality food, and the views and service made our stay at Hotel Tilun Dongpu in Taiwan feel magical. We left with lovely memories and would recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, luxurious escape. Thanks to Mike and the whole team for making the trip special.

Manager Tseng deserves a special thank you for the warm welcome. My family and I had a lovely time at this hot spring hotel. The food was delicious, and the service was good.
