Chase Walker Hotel

Guests check themselves in on an automated machine, almost like an ATM, giving CHASE Walker Hotel in Taichung a modern, no-man operation. It's a cozy, comfortable place near the famous Fengjia Night Market. The rooms are clean and well equipped. I'd recommend choosing one with a window and city view if you want to make the most of your stay. Handy for local attractions and a comfortable stay.

We loved the self check-in setup and robot luggage storage room. Check-in took no more than a minute, and checking out was even simpler: just put the room cards in the machine. The hotel is close to lots of shops and restaurants, but it was quiet inside, and we slept so well in the super-comfy bed. The room felt very modern and thoughtfully laid out, with everything we needed. The bathroom seemed brand new and had a great shower with the strongest pressure we've had in five months of travel. Everything was spotless. They also provided reusable cups to fill from the water container instead of plastic bottles, which is a good way to cut down on plastic.

The price felt reasonable for the room quality, and the place is convenient for Feng Chia night market. Self check-in was quick. When we had a problem checking in, staff there helped us, and they were kind and provided great service. The sound insulation isn't very good, so keep that in mind, but it's still a pretty good option for visiting Taichung if you don't mind the noise.

It's easy enough to check in, and the night market is within walking distance, which is great if that's where you want to spend time. The room was small but very clean and tidy. Water pressure and temperature kept changing, and the sink leaked. Soundproofing wasn't good either, we could hear rain hitting the roof.
