Dubai Villa Motel

The room was roomy, with a large tub that had a TV and jacuzzi. Still, I probably won't come back. With the business suite, I couldn't park on site and had to leave the car across the road. Moving two big suitcases and three carry-on bags across there was a pain. Just an okay motel.

We came back today and found the KTV deal had changed a lot. Two days ago, NT1480 covered six people for three hours. This time it was NT1480 for four people and only two hours, with another NT800 per extra person. It didn't feel worth it, and the pricing seems inconsistent. Not recommended.

The only real snag was check-in between my two nights. They first wanted me to check out after night one and return at 6pm for the second, but I refused and asked for a refund. They changed their mind and gave me a business room. Otherwise, it was a great stay: spacious, comfortable rooms, very good WiFi, and shops and the night market nearby.

They only told us after we'd paid over 3,600 NT for the king room that we'd need to check out at noon and return at 6pm. They'd apparently rent the room by the hour in between. We have a two-year-old, and with Covid I wasn't comfortable with other people having just slept in our bed and used the room. When I raised it, they offered a cheaper business double instead, with no refund or compensation. It was a big downgrade from the king room with parking underneath. They communicated through Google Translate and didn't speak English, which made an already frustrating situation harder.
