I checked in on 11/13/2025, and the process was chaotic from the start. At the desk, one young woman seemed lost while helping a Korean couple and couldn’t speak English. When I showed my passport and Agoda confirmation number, she and then a second staff member couldn’t find my reservation or assign a room. Things only started moving when a third person arrived and spoke some English. I wanted to inspect the room before bringing in my bags, so it would be quicker to switch if there was a problem. The receptionist asked why I wanted to check it. There was a problem: it was beside the elevator and wasn’t the room type I’d selected on Agoda. After some confusion, they gave me another room. That one looked fine at first, until I opened the curtains and saw a wall very close by. That didn’t bother me much, but the lack of usable outlets did. There were maybe five in total, two didn’t work, and there were no working plugs near the bed. The room felt tired and definitely didn’t look “newly built” as advertised on Agoda. I hadn’t tried breakfast yet, but the poorly equipped rooms, untrained staff, and chaotic check-in were enough for me to say: avoid this hotel and choose somewhere else.

We loved the huge bedroom and bathroom, and the wood floors made the room feel very clean. There was a balcony just outside the bedroom where you could relax, and a convenience store close by. On the first night, we were welcomed with free drinks and snacks. Breakfast had lots of drink options, yogurt, and puddings, and we could make fresh juice in the morning.

I don’t see how this qualifies as a resort. We paid a holiday rate of about NT$7000 per night, but the central air conditioning wasn’t turned on until the second day, after I complained. For that price, I expected it to work. My partner said the first room smelled of smoke. I didn’t mind it, but the hotel did move us to another room. Staff seemed annoyed when we wanted to drink the juice set out as complimentary, and the in-house entertainment still didn’t work after a technician tried to fix it.

The room was pretty good, and breakfast was very good and made for a nice dining experience. I did notice stains and hairs in the bathtub, so it needs a better cleaning.
