KUN Hotel Feng Chai

The night shift staff's bad attitude was the one thing that disappointed me. Otherwise, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the breakfast was good. I’m usually hesitant to eat breakfast in China because of the distinctive smell that’s often there, but I enjoyed the food here. The room was clean and sanitary, and this was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Taiwan and China.

There are several bars and restaurants nearby, handy alternatives to the night market, which is about a 10-minute walk away. The location is excellent and breakfast was good. Facilities and service were average, and the lifts to the room floors don't require a room card. The beds were a bit too soft for us.

We liked the Japanese room for our family trip, and the rooftop spa was amazing. The hotel was clean and well located. We’ll come back.

The breakfast service especially has gone downhill. The buffet selection was limited, and for the first time in all my years staying at hotels, guests had to return their cutlery to a collection point, like at a typical hawker centre in Singapore. That felt beyond ridiculous. They’ve also removed all the toiletries from the room. We were shocked to find there wasn’t even a single piece of toilet paper. 😂 Kun Hotel used to provide great service. Now the front office is still good, but I can’t understand why service in the other areas has dropped so much. Wake up, Kun Hotel. You suck right now. Bring back the old service standard we loved.
