The room was clean, though it showed its age. Weekend rates felt a little high, but were still more affordable than other hotels in the area. The location is handy too, close to the train and bus stations, a Ubike station, and Zhongxiao night market.

Being near the station was the only reason I booked this place. The 6F rooms had little cockroaches everywhere, smelled of smoke, and had noisy AC. I regret not reading the reviews first. Ask to switch rooms, and don't sleep with cockroaches. Nasty.

Paint was peeling, the sheets had holes, and our room wasn't clean, with strands of hair left in the bathroom when we checked in. The hotel is looking tired and needs refurbishment. On the good side, staff were friendly and helpful with tips on where to go in Taichung. When we reported a cockroach, they promptly offered to move us. It's also convenient for Taichung railway station, just a few minutes away, and the nearby bus station has frequent services to Yizhong street and Fengjia night market.

Disgusting and disappointing. Leftover food from earlier guests was on the chair and bed, and there were unidentified insects in the bathroom.
