RIP.

A budget-friendly place to stay.

I was very puzzled that Agoda recommended this place. At more than NT$5,000 a night, I expected basic cleanliness and service, but the stay was unacceptable. The headboard had visible damage, and the bathroom fixtures had heavy limescale, as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. There were also hygiene problems: leftover food, described as unidentified pickles in one account, was in the refrigerator, and long black hair was in the drain. I'm bald and my family member had gray hair; in a second description, I said my mother had white hair, so the hair didn't seem to be ours. The toilet paper appeared to have been opened and repackaged, and in another description the tissues looked like used remnants stuffed back into the package, with no hygiene guarantee. This was my worst accommodation experience in February 2026. A Google Maps check showed a rating of only 2.9 stars, including a rating reported as of February 18, 2026, which seemed at odds with Agoda's recommendation. I urge future guests to check outside reviews before booking, and hope Agoda strengthens its screening and quality control so others don't have the same disappointing experience. Happy New Year.

We arrived to find the room hadn't been cleaned. The front desk staff seemed to be high school or college students, and came across as inexperienced and poorly trained. We weren't checking in on time, so by the logic I expected, that was our loss and we should have been compensated. Instead, they cleaned the room while we waited an hour, and didn't seem to think it was their fault. I was left feeling as if we deserved an unclean room, just unlucky. Their casual attitude made me feel awful, and having to push for my rights felt strange, as though I were a difficult customer trying to cause trouble. When I went to ask about compensation, they asked what I wanted. I felt they should have figured that out themselves instead of putting the whole problem on guests, especially when it seemed to be their management oversight. Their lack of awareness was incredibly frustrating. They eventually told me to complain to Agoda because they couldn't help. I spent a long time looking up how to complain and wrote to Agoda myself with the details. Customer service even called in the middle of the night, but I only received a little over 400 A-points, which I couldn't exchange for cash. I still don't understand why guests who check out late should be penalized, while they acted as if they were blameless and owed no compensation for our late check-in. The room I stayed in on a later visit was also in terrible condition, especially the toilet, which smelled strongly of urine. I really don't want to give them even one star.
