The Galerie Hotel

The location is good, and the staff were helpful and spoke English. Just be aware that the walls definitely don't block much sound 😅.

I booked five nights in June but checked out after just one and asked for a refund. The building had a strong cigarette smell throughout, and the room had a broken shower door, broken furniture, a leaking faucet, and carpet stains. The front desk moved my family of three from room to room trying to find one without broken things.

For 1000nt, this is a great deal, though I wouldn't pay full price. My room was clean and well maintained, but everything felt quite old. The self-check-in computers didn't work properly, so it took me over 30 minutes to get checked in. Once I finally reached the staff, they helped sort things out.

I liked the spacious room, the view, and how easy parking was across the street. You can get a parking voucher when you check out, and the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the night market. Self check-in was easy for someone like me who likes using the system. One concern: the desks are dangerously close to the beds, and I hit my teeth pretty hard on one while in bed. I thought it might be possible to move it.
