The Huan Hotel Taichung

Getting to and from this serviced apartment is very easy, whether you’re commuting for work or exploring the city. The staff were the best part of the stay: accommodating, cheerful, and quick to handle requests, which made things feel welcoming and effortless. Breakfast and the other food were acceptable, with the usual things you need to start the day, though nothing gourmet. Shops nearby are a little pricey because this is a business area, so budget for daily essentials or groceries, or travel a short distance for cheaper choices. If excellent service and easy access are your priorities, I’d recommend it, keeping the local prices in mind.

The hotel’s facilities were decent, but the food was a letdown. It tasted bland and there was very little variety, falling well short of what I expected from a four-star hotel. I’ve stayed at other four-star hotels in Taiwan with much better hospitality and food, including flavorful meals and more choice. With premium room rates and an extra charge for another person, the hotel should improve the quality and range of its food. I hope they take this feedback seriously.

I’m here on assignment for three months. The staff are friendly, and the swimming pool is nice. Breakfast tastes good, but the choices are limited, so I could see it getting boring over a longer stay.

The room is massive, with a kitchen, large bathroom, and washing machine. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the breakfast area has a good variety. The menu changes daily, though the same set repeats each week. This is a posh area, so food around here is a little pricey. It can also get noisy, especially with the popular KTV right across from the club. The famous Alta club is right next door for partygoers.
