The service is what set this stay apart. When I reported a humming noise from somewhere in the room, they checked right away and acted quickly. Since it couldn’t be fixed soon, they moved me within half an hour and let me see the replacement room first to make sure I was happy with it. I slept really well afterward, and I’m grateful for that. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, with bright, spacious rooms. Breakfast was acceptable, much like other hotels in its class. It’s a mediocre hotel, but excellent service made the difference.

The worst hotel on my trip from Taipei to Kaoshiuang. There’s no nightlife around, it’s completely quiet, and even the 7-11 is far away. The room and service feel minimalist. I had to ask for a razor kit, and the one they brought was missing shaving cream, so I had to ask the front desk for that too. You have to request bottled water as well. Breakfast was forgettable and sparse.

The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of Taiwanese and Western food, and parking in the basement was very convenient. This was my third stay, mainly because of the excellent location and how spotless the room was. I had a well-sized suite with a bathtub and a great view of the park. The front desk mistakenly charged an extra NT$300 for an additional guest, but once I showed that the reservation was for four adults, Ms. Natasha kindly arranged a refund. I really appreciated her help and hope to return soon.
