The decor is distinctive, and the location is handy for Guohua Street and Shennong Street. A staff member was friendly, showed us to the room, and explained what was there. I hadn’t stayed here before, and on arrival the entrance was so hard to spot that I wasn’t sure where to go. At night I found it boring without a TV. The toilet and shower were both really small, and the floor cushions looked dirty, so my family didn’t want to touch them. We also heard what seemed like footsteps overhead while trying to sleep, though maybe the sound came from somewhere else. The soundproofing wasn’t good. The light sits right above the bed, which made my family uneasy, and the one above the mirror felt oppressive if you’re tall. Pros: convenient location and unusual decor. Cons: poor soundproofing, awkward parking, no TV, and a cramped toilet and shower.

The place was so clean I could walk around barefoot without getting dusty 😂. It’s an old house turned into a guesthouse, and the owner’s taste is amazing. They’d also thoughtfully put out clean slippers and umbrellas. I’d definitely come back if I get the chance 🥰

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, even though the guesthouse itself is tucked into a quiet alley. The old-style place has a great atmosphere and is fun for photos. My room was clean and comfortable, and the service was really friendly. I was very happy with the stay and would come back 👍

The woman who welcomed us was lovely and made an extra effort to help us feel at home. The decor is charming and very tasteful. It’s on a little street beside a main road, but there was absolutely no noise. I’d feel completely confident booking here.
