Inner Place

The owners were friendly and helpful, always sorting out my problems. The sheets and blanket were super comfortable, and even the towels felt like five-star hotel quality. The room looked exactly like the pictures they provided. Best stay I’ve had in Tainan, and I’ll definitely revisit Inner place next time.

Our family of three had a smooth check-in and a very satisfying stay. The room was a bit humid, but everything else was great. This cozy, private little Hostel is an old house renovated into just two rooms across three floors. The owner was helpful with suggestions for local food and classic sightseeing routes. Right outside is a pedestrian street lined with snack shops, and the famous Yongle Market is about a 10minute walk away. We’ll definitely stay here again if we get the chance to visit Tainan.

The owner greeted me warmly at check-in and shared some local delicacies in Tainan. The old house has a comfortable style and decor, though I felt the wet and dry areas weren’t separated very well. I’d booked before, but an OTA duplicate booking led to the room being cancelled. This time the stay was exceptionally good. I checked into a third-floor double room on August 23, 2025 (Saturday), booked through Agoda for 2315 TWD. My birthday was a few days later, and the owner surprised me with limited-edition mini cream puffs from a historical site. I could feel the care in every detail. It’s a great option for coming back.

The room was clean and the location convenient, and both the owner and hostess were friendly. What made the two-night stay over the long holiday especially memorable was how much the owner knew and loved Tainan. On our first day, he fluently introduced us to local delicacies, and we chose his suggestions for almost every meal. I guarantee it! Guanjin Seafood Porridge was especially good value for the seafood, highly recommended. One night he spent ages chatting with us and our friends from Tainan, sharing all sorts of knowledge and the story of turning a nostalgic barber shop into a B&B. We came away understanding the city better and with an experience we hadn’t expected. Everything was wonderful!
