The quiet setting in the mountains turned out to be one of the best parts of our stay at Dakeng Leisure Farm. At first it felt a little eerie because we were the only overnight guests, but the peace grew on us. There were plenty of visitors during the day, so the farm clearly gets busy and has a lively feel then. I’d seen some negative Agoda reviews and was hesitant, but we enjoyed the visit. The rooms are basic, though clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. The property is showing its age, but to me that fits the rustic character and didn’t spoil the stay. Some online criticism seems overly harsh for a farm stay. Dakeng Leisure Farm is a lovely option if you want a relaxing break surrounded by nature and a chance to disconnect and recharge.

The trail is really steep. Entry costs 200NT, with 100NT to spend there. The 160NT milk tea is expensive.

The hosts are so sweet. My dad remembered the really tasty bee hoon from 15 years ago, so the lady boss made it specially for us. They normally only cook it for guests at breakfast, and it tasted EXACTLY AS GOOD! My dad nearly teared up, haha. The boss also showed us his garden. The fruit and vegetables were super yummy, pesticide-free, and a showcase of his fine gardening. It’s a beautiful farm with great views, and the rope walk was a real thrill, MUST TRY! WILL BE BACK FOR SURE 🙂🙂 Highly recommend if you want a farm stay with a really warm host!

The way up to the zip line is very steep. There’s no crew at the ZIP line, so you have to handle it yourself.
