Fushin Hotel Tainan

The location was quiet, the staff were friendly, parking was included, and we could use the washing machine for free. The bus stop was a bit of a walk away. Inside, the hotel felt old fashioned, with carpets everywhere. Our room was spacious, but the beds were hard. We were 'upgraded' to two smaller double beds, which were so small and bouncy that we ended up sleeping separately. Breakfast didn’t offer much Western food, just toast, eggs, and waffles one day.

The doorman was so kind that he brought out a map and pointed out places to eat. There are plenty of good food spots within walking distance, just as you’d expect in Tainan. The hotel itself has that old school feel, with everything you need, and it was clean and quiet. Staff were efficient, right down to the senior doorman opening the door for guests. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel is well placed for temples and old streets, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to the main train station. We stayed two nights and found the room bigger than average, clean, and just like the website photos. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast had lots of choice, although the hot food could have been warmer. There’s free laundry with washers, dryers, and detergent. A few extra toiletries, like conditioner and body lotion, would have helped. Still, it was a comfortable, pleasant stay.

The lobby staff were friendly and really helpful, and the big buffet restaurant is downstairs. The hotel is roomy inside, with rooms in different sizes, and it stands out on Chenggong road downtown. The train station is quite far, though you can get there by bus. Around the hotel there’s convenient shopping and transportation. It costs a bit more, but I thought it was worth it for a comfortable night and a delicious breakfast downstairs.
