The place is quite central. When our request to change dates couldn’t be accommodated because the hotel was full, the man initially let us cancel for free. We booked again for different dates, and he was ready to help with our other questions and problems, responding quickly with solutions. We’d accidentally taken the key from the previous accommodation, and he even posted it back for us.
The room is spacious enough for two, with a large bed that has a nice balance of softness and firmness. The blankets are a bit small, though. It’s a converted old building, so the stairs are steep and carrying luggage is awkward, and it wouldn’t suit seniors very well. There’s also a threshold inside the room, so watch your step. The price is reasonable, and the housekeeper gives a detailed introduction. You get face and bath towels, shampoo, and shower gel, and the shampoo rinses off easily, but there are no cups in the room. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and paper cups are available by the water dispenser on the first floor.
The hotel was bright and clean, with affordable prices, convenient transport, and reliable hot water. I wasn’t thrilled at first to be given a pink room 😫, but the owner kindly moved me to an oceanfront room 🏡. When I checked out the next day, I happened to see someone cleaning the slippers, which reassured me about the cleanliness 💯. The mattress was too low and soft for me, and the stairs were steep and hard to manage, though maybe that’s typical of older houses. The water dispenser also had a strong raw-water smell.
Good value for the price. Could be a good option for someone on their own who wants a private bathroom.
The owner was so kind and upgraded our room. We stayed in the Japanese minimalist room, which had plenty of space in both the room and bathroom. This is a sweet, cozy guesthouse near the elementary school, right opposite the police station. The owner keeps the place very clean. You change into slippers as soon as you enter, and they collect and clean each pair after checkout. The bed sheets and pillowcases smelled fresh and were thoroughly washed, and I didn’t have any allergies. It’s been converted from an old house, so the soundproofing may not be perfect. The water dispenser and fridge are only on the first floor, and the stairs are rather steep, but none of that bothered me. The owner also leaves some supplies beside the dispenser for guests who forgot to bring disposable items.
