The room was spacious and clean, and the owner upgraded us to a double room at no charge. They also replied quickly whenever we had questions. It was quiet at night and the bed was great. There’s a 7-Eleven at the alley entrance and plenty of nearby motorcycle parking, so even returning late, we could find a place to park. It’s convenient and good value, highly recommended. Anping Fort, Anping Tree House, Fried Chicken Restaurant, Yi Feng Winter Melon Tea, Shrimp Cakes, Ice Cream, Tong Ji Tofu Pudding, and Mao Ji Tofu Pudding are all within walking distance. This area is less crowded than other parts of Tainan, so you don’t have to wait in long lines. Highly recommended!

The private building is lovely, with clean, beautiful rooms. The first-floor space can also be used for gatherings. There are just two quadruple rooms, while the rest are double rooms, so keep room allocation in mind when booking.

I’ve picked this place for a second stay, mainly because it’s in Anping, about a ten-minute drive from the city center and night market. Anping Old Street is right across the road. It’s quiet at night, with only a few rooms and good soundproofing, so you don’t hear people in the other rooms. The owner is generous, too.

We had booked the whole building, but there was no air conditioning in the shared areas. We ended up having to find a room where we could sit, eat snacks, and chat. It’s right by Anping Castle, though.

There’s plenty of good food and nice souvenirs just outside, in the busy part of Anping. Anping Tree House and Anping Castle are an easy walk away. At the intersection you’ll also find a 7-Eleven and a great ice cream shop run by foreigners!
