Hotel Château Anping

The breakfast was the best part, with a good range of options and local dishes representing Tainan. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool at night, with a lovely view while relaxing in the water as a family. I do wish the pool hours were longer. It was our first time at this hotel, and we loved it. The room was spacious and very clean, unlike some other kid-friendly hotels. The beds were very comfy, and we had a wonderful time.

We were disappointed with this hotel and won’t be bringing our children back. We could hear the next room’s conversations clearly, along with kids screaming and a baby crying. When we asked to move to another suite, we were downgraded to a smaller one. The advertised family amenities were barely available. The outdoor pool only opened in the afternoon and closed at 630pm. The arcade was free only in the afternoon, then cost money in the evening. Breakfast service ended at 930am. I saw several families, including ours, hurrying their kids in at the last minute. Other family-friendly hotels we’ve stayed at serve until 10 or 1030am, and often let guests use the pool after check-out. Here I felt the hotel wanted people to finish eating and check out as soon as possible. If you or your children want to make use of hotel amenities, I’d look elsewhere.

The room is a great size and feels like home.

We booked a lovely, really big family room, and they’d even thought of the kids with a nice cartoon toothbrush. There’s plenty for them to do, including a pool, sand pit, and jungle gym, all included in the room price🤩 We wanted to try the dinner buffet, but it was fully booked, so we got pizza takeout instead. Breakfast was great, with lots of choices, and we really enjoyed it.
