The buffet is extensive at both breakfast and dinner, and the staff are very friendly. It can get busy, though, so there may be a wait if you arrive later for either meal. The room itself is simple, cozy, and has what you need.

Very good value, more like an upgraded hostel. The rooms are narrow and basic, though the bedding is comfy. They’re clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, with an omelet and egg station, and the staff are helpful and pleasant. There aren’t many dining choices nearby, but the hotel provides an evening meal or snack, plus coffee and ice cream all day. There’s no safe. Bus tours use the hotel.

For the price, I can’t complain, even though the room is too small. It’s excellent value since you get breakfast and dinner each day. We didn’t realize dinner was included and went to the night market instead. Big mistake, we ate too much, though that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

We spent three comfortable, relaxing nights here in May 2025. The hotel isn’t modern, but it has local charm. Our room was at the end of the hall, quiet, and had a window we could open for fresh air. Housekeeping kept it clean, and the restaurant staff were excellent and efficient. Everyone we met was friendly and wonderful. The free laundry room has four washers and dryers, with detergent included. We never had to wait for a machine. Tainan’s alleys give the city a lovely feel, and there’s one along the side of the hotel leading to a back alley with a local neighborhood Chinese temple. We walked through those alleys to the places we wanted to visit and enjoyed the old charm.
