The free snacks were a nice extra, and at around 35€ a night it felt like very good value. The place was clean and well soundproofed. They even mailed a phone charger we’d left behind to Taipei for free, although I offered to pay. Ventilation could be better, and the shower drain didn’t work very well.

For a quick overnight stop in Tainan, this is probably a good option. The hostel is on the 6th floor of another hotel, in a convenient area with popular spots within walking distance. My room was basic, but had everything I needed for one night, and the free instant noodles were a nice bonus. I was a little concerned about neighboring noise, though the only significant sounds were nearby doors opening and closing. I slept fine, but light sleepers may want earplugs.

The room felt cozy and the bed was comfortable, though the room itself wasn't very large. I liked the setup in the common area, with a microwave, coffee machine, drinks, snacks, washer, and dryer. You do have to pay for the items and machines, but I still found it convenient. Quite satisfied with the stay.

It took about 15 minutes to walk to Tainan Station, and getting there from the HSR station at Shalun by shuttle or train takes around 30 minutes. I was surprised to find the place in a building with other hotels. Take the elevator to the sixth floor and there it is, a cozy spot with warm, attractive decor. The room was quiet and clean. I hope to stay longer next time and come back.
