Lixin Grand Hotel

The lobby is huge and striking, and I really liked the atmosphere. The room was spacious too. I enjoyed my stay here.

During my 10-day quarantine, the staff were kind and accommodating, and they kept guests reassured during the earthquake. They gave updates about further aftershocks, especially for people on the higher floors. My room was lovely, and the meals were varied and tasty. I especially liked the fruit boxes they’d sometimes surprise me with as a snack. It made the quarantine comfortable and enjoyable.

We spent one night here with my family, and all of us ended up with lots of mosquito bites. One person also got a lot of bites that could have been from bed bugs or fleas. We’ve stayed before without anything like this, and had already booked another visit for next week because of the new kids’ area. Now I’m appalled by how much the standards seem to have dropped and worried about that upcoming stay. The attached photos show only some of the bites. Our holiday turned into a horror, and we have to find medical creams instead of enjoying our time in Taiwan.

I spent 15 days here and didn’t need to order food from outside. The hotel meals were tasty, healthy, and clean, and I had no stomach problems. The staff were courteous, supportive, and quick to respond. My room was spacious and clean, with a large window and a nice view, just as shown on the hotel website. All of that made quarantine comfortable and enjoyable. A five-star experience.
