Taiwan Heritage House A Cultural Stay in Tainan

Stars Slowly Homestay was an unexpected treat during these two days in Anping, Tainan. I often lead tour groups, so I care a lot about a place having a warm, welcoming feel. This was more than just somewhere to sleep. It felt like a dreamy little refuge where you could slow down and reconnect with your inner child. The walls were covered in colorful, comforting cat illustrations, cute without feeling overwhelming. The owner's two cats were a big part of the charm, gentle and friendly. I stayed in a backpacker room, and both the bed comfort and cleanliness left a strong impression. It's peaceful despite being in a busy part of Anping. If you like cats or want a sweet, whimsical stay in Tainan, I highly recommend it! 🐾✨

The cat-themed room was a big step up. For a one-night stay, it was fine overall. Since it's a backpacker room, the beds are wooden planks, and the bunks make quite a bit of noise when someone moves on them. The bathroom downstairs is tiny. I had to shower sitting in the tub because standing meant bumping into the stairs above. I later found a second-floor bathroom, but it was just as narrow.

The two cats are so affectionate that they'll come upstairs in the middle of the night for pets. Even the cats were clean, with fur that didn't feel sticky or oily, and there was no animal smell in the very clean place. Our room faced the road in the Anping Old Street alleys, but with the airtight windows shut, we could barely hear any noise.

Such an adorable, soft and cuddly place in Tainan! The two cat hosts at Stars Slowly are incredibly cute ^^ I stayed in the simple, compact backpacker room this time, but next time I'd like to try a double room. The surroundings are peaceful, quiet at night, and parking is easy too.
